| The Bosch Benvenuto B20 Gourmet coffee machine is one of the most feature-rich machines on the market for the money. This Swiss work of art makes perfect espresso or coffee in about 30 seconds at the press of a button. The key feature of this machine is gourmet taste and convenience. Bosch has combined convenience with taste through advanced features. These include the exclusive AromaSwirl System for maximum flavor extraction, stainless steel boiler (which helps protect against your coffee acquiring a metal taste), precise temperature control for optimum flavor release and a built-in water filter that completely cleans the water for a pure coffee taste. Advanced features include programmable brewing options, adjustable coffee strength, the ability to use pre-ground coffee of your choice in addition to coffee beans (useful if you have decaffeinated beans in the hopper but want a regular espresso/coffee), rapid switching between brewing and steaming functions, an adjustable coffee grinder for fine tuning your espresso/coffee and an automated cleaning system. Proper grinding is at the core of excellent coffee production. The Benvenuto has a built-in, conical type burr grinder. Pushing the brew button sets the cycle in motion with the grinder measuring out the correct amount of beans for the selection made and then grinding it to specifications. Conical burr grinders are made up of a cone shaped grinding wheel that turns slow enough not to burn the coffee beans (a problem with low cost grinders). The heavy-duty steel of the grinding wheel promotes a life of long service and that's strong enough to resist damage from the little stones that sometimes slip in with the beans. Another feature is a coffee bean storage hopper and dump box that holds 1/2-pound of beans. This large capacity allows up to 30 cups of coffee to be prepared before refilling is needed. When the coffee grounds are spent, the machine delivers them to the internal dump box which can hold up to 15 expended coffee portions. With the Benvenuto, you'll also get a 1300-watt stainless steel lined thermoblock boiler, an adjustable dispensing nozzle (it moves up or down to accept cup sizes up to 4.25-in. high) and a warming surface for espresso cups. |
