In order to dress up your smoothies a little more, you can serve them in fancy glasses, and you can even include garnishes, like small umbrellas or fruit wedges to make your smoothies look appetizing. And, you can substitute milk or yogurt with soy-based products if you want to stay away from dairy, and your smoothies will turn out just as good. Be sure to prepare your smoothies fairly close to party time, about 30 minutes to an hour beforehand, especially if you're using ice (you don't want to dilute the flavors). Keep your smoothie mix in the freezer until it's time to serve. Also, don't forget to keep extra smoothie ingredients on hand to whip up another batch at the get-together-because the smoothies will be gone faster than you think.
